Seasonal flock planner

What your flock needs, season by season

Chores change with the weather. Pick a season for the three jobs that matter most and the gear we'd reach for.

Hatch & brood season

Days stretch, hens go broody and feed stores fill up with peeping cardboard boxes. Get the warm, draft-free start chicks need before they arrive.

  1. Run the incubator empty for a day to confirm it holds temperature before setting eggs.
  2. Swap heat lamps for a radiant brooder plate – chicks self-regulate and the fire risk drops.
  3. Start chicks on a starter crumble and keep a clean chick fount within easy reach.
